A period ivory faille gown worn by Yvonne De Carlo as Roxy McClanahan in Scarlet Angel (Universal Int’l, 1952). The long-sleeve gown has sheer silk inset on bodice, hook and eye back closure, cream floral lace on neckline and cuffs, multi-stripe black ribbon detail, peplum long skirt with small train, bustle and bow and a black satin belt. An internal Universal International label is inscribed “Double Yvonne DeCarlo” with studio cleaning tag. Roxy wears the gown when she goes to see Rock Hudson as Frank Truscott on his ship and she gets into a bar-room brawl. Costume design by Rosemary Odell.
