A grey silk dress worn by Madeleine Carroll in her role as Carol Delbridge in Bahama Passage (Paramount, 1941). The dress is a short-sleeve day dress with V-neckline, notched lapel, and two gathered waist pockets with zip side closure. A handwritten internal Paramount label reads “M. Carrole” with studio cleaning tag. Carroll wears the dress when she tries to convince Adrian Ainsworth, played by Sterling Hayden, that she will be happy with him on the island.
