A pink period costume worn by Anne Baxter as Cherry Malotte in The Spoilers (Universal, 1955). The pink polka dot taffeta period two-piece costume consists of a fitted long-sleeve V neck bodice accented with black bugle beads, floral lace and rhinestones on collar and cuffs, satin trim along hem, four black material buttons and a long skirt with satin stripe accent trimmed with black floral lace and hook and eye back closure. A Universal International label inscribed “Anne Baxter” is in the skirt, and a Universal International label with no inscription is in the bodice. Cherry wears the costume when she goes to the lawyer’s office with John McIntire as Dextry regarding a court case on his claim. Costume design by Bill Thomas. Post-production alterations are present.
