A stuffed Giant Panda bear with white gloves, together with seven similar drumming panda figurines in presentation boxes. The bear, known as "Chairman of the Board" was a gift from Moon and in Starr's own words, "Many years ago, I believe 1976, I looked out my office window and saw the one and only Keith Moon attired in full L.A. Police Department uniform, alighting from his white Rolls Royce and carrying this large panda bear and low and behold it was a present for me! This panda was immediately made Chairman of the Board and has been at all our meetings ever since. I gave our Chairman a pair of Mark Bolan's white gloves which seemed to suit the bear very well." At a later date Starr allowed Colour Box miniatures to create a limited edition bear figurine based on the Chairman as part of their Celebrity Bears Collection. The lot is accompanied by a single page trade announcement for Ring O' Records featuring a picture of Starr and Ring O'Records executives Mike Hales and Terry Condon in a meeting with none other than "The Chairman of the Board." Bear, height, 38 inches Categories: Ringo Starr
