An original Katharine Hepburn oil painting, gifted to Emily Perkins, circa 1940s. The painting is a portrait of a blonde woman, possibly Perkins, wearing a pink blouse with a black bow in her hair. Perkins is referred to by Hepburn biographers as Hepburn’s “dresser-secretary.” Perkins, once a studio seamstress, served as seamstress, secretary, and companion to Hepburn.
