Unreleased cassette interview recording with Nirvana from October 25, 1990, approximately 16 minutes in length, recorded after Nirvana's concert at the Leeds Polytechnic Students' Union, England . Voices of the members of L7 can also be heard in the background as they played the same show. Dave Grohl had recently joined the band, and Cobain says early in the interview that their drummer issues are over and that if Grohl left the band they would all quit. Cobain also speaks about the influence of the band the Wipers. The band discusses other music that "turns them on" including the Pixies, Daniel Johnston, the Vaselines, Mudhoney and Beat Happening. Cobain reveals that he gets into an altered state on stage and that dressing in costumes with glitter and stage pyrotechnics might be easier than the type of performing Nirvana did. The concert was marred by a large amount of stage divers who interfered with the performance, which is briefly discussed on the tape. The interview was made for the reporter of a small student fanzine and never released publicly. Categories: Nirvana
