Contract dated December 18, 1969, engaging ZZ Top to be the opening act for Chuck Berry and Bo Diddley and to act as the back up band for Chuck Berry for a concert at the Houston Music Theatre on December 23, 1969. The contract is signed by ZZ Top's manager Bill Ham and concert promoter William Easley. The original vintage color photographs that accompany the contract are of Chuck Berry and the Houston Music Theatre marquee. ZZ Top is widely credited to have played their first show in February of 1970. The band formed in late 1969 and this December show may have been the bands first public performance.
