Brooklyn based collective FAILE draw inspiration from the streets of New York to create a visual language unique to their body of work. The full title "Nuthin's Sacred at the Gender Bender on 5th" highlights the transvestite culture is essential to the makeup of the city's streets. Whether the group questions the sanctity of the men's urinal or the sanctity of gender is up to interpretation, but the black and white stencil acts like a cultural mugshot of New York in the 90's.
