Crash aka John Matos is known as the grandfather of the graffiti movement in New York "bombing" trains in the 1960's, "...I always felt what we were doing was so much more than it was in that specific moment...graffiti could be legitimate..." Most will recognize Crash from his Popeye mural on Houston Street, but his oeuvre expands across styles.
