The September 7 and 10, 2001 event produced by Jackson's longtime friend David Gest and held in New York's Madison Square Garden was to celebrate Jackson's 30th anniversary as a solo artist. Ticket prices ranged from $45 to $2,500 for the sold-out show. The concert portion of the program featured a reunion of the Jackson 5, who had not played together in 20 years. It was Michael Jackson's first return to the stage in 11 years. Chairs for the event included Yoko Ono, Sean Lennon, Whitney Houston, Gregory Peck, Liza Minnelli and Elizabeth Taylor.
