Max Valentin (German, b. 1875). Carved alabaster sculpture of a woman wearing a long skirt with a gilt accented and opal cabochon belt. Woman with additional gilt banding in her hair, exposed breast an hands holding edge of garment, head tilted over shoulder. Incised with signature on circular base. Marked on back with Gladenbeck Berlin foundry stamp. Height 20".
