Inscribed: [This bottle contains magnetic tape used in TAPE FALL, an installation by Christian Marclay at the New Museum of Contemporary Art in New York City from September 12 through November 25, 1989.
The sound of trickling water recorded on this tape was played back on a reel-to-reel deck mounted high on the central column of the gallery. For eleven weeks, the tape was allowed to unwind freely and spill onto the floor below where it accumulated in a large mound. A total of 187 reels of tape were used].
