Karlsruhe Majolika Germany, 1929 glazed earthenware 6½ w x 4½ d x 9 h in (17 x 11 x 23 cm)
The Cocoa Pot was originally designed by Otto Lindig in his studio in Dornburg in 1923.
This early production, exemplified by concentric rings on the neck, is an icon of the Bauhaus and the simplified aesthetic of the school and its followers.
