USA, c. 1957 glass, lucite, brass 76 w x 24 d x 26 h in (193 x 61 x 66 cm)
Custom made for a private residence in Beverly Hills, California. This console illustrates a refined and minimal quality that typifies Laszlo’s work after the 1950s, as he transitioned from residential to commercial projects. In the 1960s, Laszlo developed a process of pouring lucite through a metal screen, creating furniture with unique surfaces as evidenced in this piece.
