French, 19th century. Louis XV style lit du jour or day bed with carved walnut wood frame decorated with shell and foliate decoration. Arms with scrolled decoration. Wood framed day bed raised on eight hooved feet. Lit de jour, the size of a single bed, fully restored and with new cream duck cloth fabric upholstery. Accompanied with two roll pillows, and three rectangular pillow cushions. Height 35.5 inches, width 91 inches, depth 42 inches.
