The work of photographer and artist Richard Billingham was included in Charles Saatchi's controversial Sensation exhibition of 1997. In 2001, his work was again in the spotlight when Billingham was nominated for the Turner Prize. This work is from a body of work titled Ray's A Laugh ; the image is of Billingham's alcoholic father.
Signed, dated and numbered to reverse 'R. Billingham 1994 6/10'. This work is number 6 from the edition of 10.
