Sold for:
$110

Gilded hat and caduceus and delicately detailed floral draping and facial features; in very good condition with no chips or cracks; measures approximately 8" tall; orange KPM symbol, cobalt blue scepter, "598" stamp, and what appears to be a "L 140/926" marking underneath. The KPM Manufacturing Company from Berlin, Germany has been producing fine porcelains since 1763. Before each piece is stamped with the cobalt-blue scepter, it goes through many stages and strict quality controls, ensuring every item is a masterpiece. KPM porcelain is almost exclusively produced by hand. The manual production process and complex decoration techniques give each piece a truly unique character. Gilding, flowers, fruits, animals, landscapes and backgrounds are all painted in freehand by the manufacturer's skilled artists.
