Mirrored Satsuma Shimazu Vases Pair Pair of mirrored Japanese Satsuma vases: hexagonal, polychrome and gilt patterned accents upon navy background flanking handpainted duck and peacock scenes with gilded floral and foliate ornamentation. Both vases are marked to bottom with the Shimazu crest atop the Hodota and Satsuma cartouche, Meiji period (1868-1912). Measures approximately 7-1/2" tall and 3-3/4" in diameter.
