Rainy landscape painting by Florence V. Mercolino Graziano. Signed to bottom right: "F. Graziano". Signed to the back: "F. Graziano, Rainstorm, 1969." Framed in gilt frame and double-matted with linen & wood. Sight image height of 15-1/2" and width of 19-1/4". It has been said that Florence Graziano is like the eye of a hurricane --such a tremendous store of creative energy lies beneath the calm, relaxed exterior of this painter, sculpture, author and lecturer. A graduate of Mt. St. Mary's in Watching, New Jersey, Florence Graziano studied art at Columbus College of Art and Design, Columbus, Ohio. Further training included the Art Students League of New York under Robert Brackman, dean of figurative painters; Robert Beverly Hale--curator of American Art at the Metropolitan Museum of Art; Roberto De Lamonica; graphics and sculpture; John Hovannes; as well as at the The Cape School of Art under Henry Hensche, Provincetown, Massachusetts. Her work, which has received many awards has been widely exhibited in National and International Shows and also in one man shows from coast to coast including Washington
