Beautiful antique, circa 18th century, porcelain portrait tile depicting Prime Minister William Gladstone; marked to the front "Roma Portrait by H.S. Mendelssohn, 18 CS 98 Sculpt" and marked verso "Made by Sherwin and Cotton at their works in Hanley in the County of Stafford 1898". Model or serial number 7063. Unframed. Measures in height approximately 8-3/4" with width of 6". In overall Good condition with minor craquelure consistent with age and usage.
