Attributed to Herter Brothers,(German/American, active1864–1906), Victorian mahogany, circassian walnut and ebonized sideboard with ornate inlaid decoration in panels on top portion depicting pointed shells surrounded by scrolled foliates and red berries, lower portion of cabinet with ebonized fluted tapered columns with Corinthian style capitals flanking and more sophisticated inlaid decoration of a handled urn in a scrolled architectural niche surrounded by leaved plants. Height 52", width 66.25", depth 21".
