Sepia toned image depicts a glowing letter of recommendation written by a member of the Rothschild family regarding the famed magician’s abilities. Mount 4 x 6 ”. Edges worn. The text reads, in part, “The bearer of these lines is a Mr. Malini, an exceedingly clever conjuror, especially at card tricks, and if you can in any way be useful to him in recommending him to your different friends, I shall be much obliged”
