Kellar, Harry and Howard Thurston. Kellar and Thurston Commemorative Medallion. Baltimore, Society of Osiris, Inc., 1933. Being a plaster medallion cast to commemorate the 25th anniversary of Kellar’s passing of the mantle of magic to his successor, Howard Thurston. 1 ¾” in diameter. Remnants of paper backing on verso, otherwise very good. Scarce. A version of this medallion was also issued mounted to a wooden plank from the floor of Ford’s Theatre, where Kellar passed the mantle to Thurston in 1908. Note: this medallion may have been cast by David Price of the Egyptian Hall Museum of Nashville, TN.
