Includes “Les Cartes a Jouer” (ca. 1780), hand colored; “Lady Caroline Maxse” (1835), hand colored; “La Douairiere” (ca. 1841), hand colored; “The Heathen Chinee” (four prints, 1870); Untitled (ca. 1830) depicting a salon with card game and harpist, hand colored; “Whenever Death Plays He’s Sure to Win” (ca. 1830), hand colored; “Bath Gamblers” (1777); “The Fortunate Macaroni” (London, 1772); “The Doubtful Fortune” (1868), a depiction of fortune telling with cards, “Steps to Ruin” (ca. 1860); “The Gamesters; Der Kartenmacher” (ca. 1600) and various others.
