807. La Boule Mysterieuse. Paris, Fernand Martin, 1906. Mechanical lithographed tin toy inspired by the circus act of Leopold Laroche, who, while inside a large metal ball, scaled a spiral-shaped tower. Pull the string and the toy duplicates his feat. The ball opens at the top to reveal Laroche inside. 13 ½” tall. Working. Minor paint wear and oxidation; good.
