Chicago Magic Roundtable Scrapbook for 1949. Kept by the hosts of the Chicago Magic Roundtable Werner "Dorny" Dornfield and Herman Homar. The first 55 pages of the book contain hundreds of autographs of the many magicians that frequented and visited the Roundtable. Among the signatures in this book are those of Howard "Mel" Melson (accompanied by a caricature), Harry Blackstone, Sr. (with caricature), Milbourne Christopher, Jack Gwynne, Monk Watson, Doc Mahendra, Dell O'Dell, Stewart Judah, Okito, Chester Morris (with self-portrait), and hundreds more. An additional 76 pages of ephemera include a signed and inscribed 8 x 10" performance photograph of Okito, an iconic portrait of Cardini signed & inscribed, signed menus by the Dixie Magic Roundtable of New York (a pseudo-sister organization based in Manhattan), postcards and other correspondence sent to the Roundtable, and much more. Book measures 10 ½ x 12". Condition of contents varies but generally good. Some contents loose. SHOULD BE SEEN.
