Buchinger, Matthew. Two Matthew Buchinger engravings. One, a portrait of the celebrated "Little man of Nuremburg, published in 1804, and measuring 5 x 6". The other a faux decree originally engraved by Buchinger and giving a resume of his accomplishments, among them, "he does surprising things with Cups and Balls, and give the Curious great satisfaction thereby," "He thread a fine needle very quick; shuffles a pack of cards, and deals them very swift…"; measuring 7 ¾ x 11". The former trimmed, mounted to board, matted and ready for framing; the latter dampstained in the lower right corner and lightly foxed, otherwise good condition.
