Vernon, Dai (David Frederick Wingfield Verner). Silhouette of Sam Margules by Dai Vernon. New York, 1928. On a mount measuring 4 ½ x 6 ½". Inscription underneath silhouette dampstained and upper corners of mount creased. Signed and dated by Dai Vernon. During the years Vernon lived in New York, Sam Margules was one of his closest friends and aids; Margules often offered Vernon counsel, financial aid and found him work on more than one occasion.
