Thurston, Harry. Two ALS from Harry to Howard Thurston. The first undated, and on unusual Thurston Tropical Land Co. letterhead, the second on Thurston Presenting Mysteries of India letterhead dated March 7, 1935 and stating, "I bought a fine big tent from Ringling at Sarasota. Going out under canvas in May." The latter is accompanied by a carbon of Howard Thurston's response, which states, in part, "I am very glad you have a new tent…if you keep your expenses way down, you are bound to win. …I have had very little work this year, and our salary has been cut one third and it is very hard to get through. I envy your easy life in Florida. I am having a hell of a job." Letters and carbon chipped and worn at extremities, but overall good condition.
