Krieger, Louis. "Pop" Krieger's own Cups and Balls. Set of three plated tin cups, formed and soldered as opposed to the modern cups for this trick which are spun from a single piece of metal. Worn and rusted; fair condition. Accompanied by a note in Jay Marshall's hand stating, "Cups Use by Prof. Louis "Pop" Krieger from the Clinton Burgess Collection."Krieger was known as the "King of the Cups and Balls," and "The American Bosco." His reputation was made by performing the classic effect on stage while surrounded by a committee from the audience. Among his clients were the elite and wealthy families including the Goulds, Vanderbilts and Rockefellers.
