Hubley Manufacturing Co. (American (Lancaster, Pennsylvania), established 1884). Painted cast iron metal mechanical "Trick Dog" bank (type II), circa 1930s comprising of a rectangular cornice form base with blue painted finish with gold border supporting a harlequin or clown in pointed cap and playful outfit holding a ring flanked by red barrel with coin slot and small dog. By placing a coin in the dog's mouth and pressing the lever on right side panel, the bank activates the dog to jump through the clown's loop or hoop ring and deposit the coin into the barrel. Approximate height 7.25", width 8.75", depth 3". Provenance: From the Estate of Mary L. Haugk, Lawrenceville, Georgia.
