A square oak architectural panel carved in bas relief to front depicting the Celtic god called The Green man and named Esus or Erriapus, the protector of nature and the earth mother, the figure's face with leaves as hair and beard flowing out to surround face amid scrolling leaves and bell flowers. Approximately 15.5" x 15.875". Provenance: From the Estate of Dr. Woody Cobbs and Mrs. Honor Cobbs, Atlanta, Georgia.
