English, 20th century. Impressive Jasperware inset stained and veneered compactum wardrobe having a projecting and dentil cornice over a fluted frieze mounted with rosettes and centered with a green jasper rectangular plaque with applied white classical putti playing Blind Man's Bluff in relief, above a pair of shaped paneled and stipple ground doors decorated with raised scrolling foliage and oval jasper plaques, each with a maiden relief molded in white, one holding up a tambourine, the other with a wreath, the doors enclosing a pair of linen slides above a open shelf with mirrored back and a pair of stacked drawers, the whole flanked to each side by a beveled mirrored door surmounted with an oval shaped paneled and stipple ground decorated with raised scrolling foliage and oval jasper plaques, shaped paneled and stipple ground doors decorated with raised scrolling foliage and conforming jasper plaques, one depicting Cupid shooting an arrow at a bound Psych, the other depicting the 'Sacrifice to Cupid', the doors concealing hanging rail and hooks all above two drawers and a shaped apron. The locking mechanisms all stamped 'Hand Made Secure Lever". Approximate height 90", width 81", depth 22.5".
