Mikimoto (Japanese, founded 1899-). Ladies classic three strand graduated cultured akoya pearl necklace with 281 pearls (smallest approximately 3.75mm in diameter, largest approximately 7.65mm in diameter, color: light cream, grade A with slight blemishes). Pearls joined to a handmade sterling silver claps with pearl accent, marked "M" for Mikimoto and also lightly marked on back of clasp "L-55304". Clasp tested as sterling silver. Shortest strand on necklace approximately 18.5". Total weight approximately 39 grams. Provenance: acquired by the Estate of Dr. Woody Cobbs and Mrs. Honor Cobbs, Atlanta, Georgia.
