French, 18th century. French Louis XV paint and parcel gilt decorated canape en corbeille with rococo shaped carved molded crest rail centering a floral spray and continuing to downward sloping sides with curved arms flanking a serpentine shaped seat with loose cushion above a conforming and foliate carved apron raised on 8 cabriole legs headed with carved flowerhead and terminating in scrolled toes. The whole covered in a fine scalamadre style salmon silk floral upholstery. Height 39.4", width 80", seat depth 26", seat height 19".
