A carved and giltwood figural high relief depicting God the Father in red cloak with proper right hand held up in blessing and left hand holding an orb, which is commonly thought of as representing the earth, the figure with flowing golden locks and beard set on a rectangular field of gold. Retaining label to back from Christie's bearing "29 April 86 / 33" for an unknown auction. Approximate height 17.75", width 15.5", depth 4.25".Provenance: From the Estate of Dr. Woody Cobbs and Mrs. Honor Cobbs, Atlanta, Georgia.
