Pair of Carved Maple Spanish-foot Side Chairs, Connecticut, 18th century, the carved crest rail above a vasiform splat and raking molded stiles, with rush seat on block-, vase-, and ring-turned legs ending in well carved Spanish feet and joined by stretchers with finely executed turnings, old surface, ht. 40, seat ht. 16 1/2 in. Provenance: Spencer and Judd, 1973, to a Boston area collection. Estimate $1,500-2,500 Items may have wear and tear, imperfections, or the effects of aging.
