Cobalt Spreadwing Eagle-decorated Stoneware Jar, Star Pottery, Greensboro, Pennsylvania, c. 1870s, the jar with flaring rim and stencil decoration, ht. 9 7/8 in. Estimate $300-500 There is a 2 1/2 in. hairline crack in the rim near the eagle's right wingtip, and a 1 1/2 in wide chip on the exterior of the rim on the back side of the jar.
