Yellow-painted and Paint-decorated Poplar Dresser Box, possibly New York State, c. 1830-50, decorated on all sides with floral sprays, birds, and black pinstriping on a yellow ground, (wear to edges, small spots of paint loss, very minor staining), ht. 4 3/4, wd. 11, dp. 5 in. Estimate $300-500 Dry surface with fine craquelure, appears to be original paint, a few small spots and areas of paint loss. Items may have wear and tear, imperfections, or the effects of aging.
