Mahogany and Satinwood Veneer Bowfront Chest of Drawers, possibly Portsmouth, New Hampshire, early 19th century, the top with ovolo corners, above drawers with matched veneer fronts and reeded quarter-engaged columns, and turned feet joined by a shaped skirt, replaced pulls, old refinish, ht. 39, wd. 38 1/2, dp. 20 1/2 in. Estimate $2,000-3,000 patches to crossbanding, drawerbottoms with shrinkage separation and cracking, no major repairs or replacements.
