Chippendale Carved Mahogany Block-front Chest of Drawers, Massachusetts, c. 1760-80, the overhanging top above a diminutive cockbeaded case of four graduated drawers on shaped bracket base, original brasses, refinished, ht. 31 1/4, top wd. 36 1/2, case wd. 32 1/4, dp. 21 in. Estimate $8,000-12,000 very thin (1/16 in.) strips of wood added to bottom edge of each drawer, one small 1/2 in square patch near edge of one drawer, pendant missing.
