Dutch and English Schools, 16th-18th Century Six Miniature Portraits of Aristocratic Women, One Possibly Queen Elizabeth I All unsigned, one bearing partial inscriptions indicating the age of the sitter. All oil on copper, sizes to 6 7/8 x 5 3/16 in. (17.5 x 13.2 cm), three framed, three unframed. Condition: Some with abrasions and paint losses, varnish discoloration. Provenance: The estate of George Way. Estimate $700-900 Each in overall good condition with slight and scattered abrasions and varnish discoloration. Oval with lady wearing a neck ruff has irregular surface. Items may have wear and tear, imperfections, or the effects of aging.
