Christophe Pillet (French, b. 1959) for Fiam Italia C&C Coffee Table, Italy, late 20th century, with maker's label, ht. 13, wd. 46, dp. 23 1/2 in. Note: Christophe Pillet earned his degree at the Arts Décoratifs University in Nice in 1985 and a postgraduate degree at the 'Domus Academy' in Milan in 1986. Pillet worked in collaboration with Martine Bedin in Milan from 1986 to 1988, with Philippe Starck in Paris from 1988 to 1993, and then as a freelancer. He works in many fields such as furniture, products, interior and architectural design, and stage sets. Pillet has worked in partnership with many prestigious companies such as Cappellini, JC Decaux, Trussardi, FIAM, Daum, Moët et Chandon, Lancôme, Ecart International, Shiseido, Bally, Moroso, l'Oréal and Whirlpool.
