George Thompson and Sidney Waugh for Steuben "American Ballad" Bowl, Corning, New York, designed in 1942, mid to late 20th century, from the American Ballad series, engraved with four figural groups portraying the pioneering history of the United States: "Colonization," "Exploration," "Independence," and "Expansion," diamond point Steuben signature beneath the base, diamond point signature "Sidney Waugh" beneath "Exploration" engraving, includes original box, ht. 7 1/2, dia. 9 1/8 in.
