Celadon-glazed Stoneware Candlestick, China, possibly Jin dynasty, in the shape of a crouching lion, a bisque opening on its back missing a holder above, incised details, ht. 3 3/4, wd. 5 5/8 in. Provenance: Mary Andrews Wolff Collection since 1987, purchased from Bluett & Sons, London; then by descent to the present owner. Estimate $1,200-1,500 missing a candle holder on top, old chip to the left foreleg. Items may have wear and tear, imperfections, or the effects of aging.
