Large Arita Red Kutani Vase, Japan, Meiji period, elongated oviform without neck, resting on a bisque foot ring, decorated with yin/yang roundels and patterned floral bands, mark reading "Tozan (Sueyama) sei" on cream-glazed base, ht. 12 1/4 in. Provenance: Purchased from Gerard Levy Antiquaire-Expert, Paris. Estimate $1,200-1,500 minor surface scratches. Items may have wear and tear, imperfections, or the effects of aging.
