Zenith Boxed Marine Chronometer, early 20th century, 3 1/4-in. dia. screw-mount bezel, engraved silvered dial marked "Chronom/Zenith" with reserve subsidiary dial reading 0-40 located at 12, and running seconds at 6, housed in a two-tier mahogany box with interior silvered brass lid plaque reading in part "Chronometre/Zenith/Grand Prix Paris 1900," movement plate marked "Zenith/1954062," key-wind access through hinged end of box, with ribbed-head key, box lg. 5 3/4 in. Estimate $400-600 currently, winding setting and ticking, most likely needs movement cleaning. bottom portion of two-tier box has no key to open it.
