Three-gallon Cobalt-decorated Stoneware Jug, J. & E. Norton, Bennington, Vermont, c. 1850-59, cylindrical form with short rolled lip, applied lug handle and broad bird, flower, and branch decoration on the front, (stabilized crack in the back), ht. 15 in. Estimate $300-500 The back has a long crack from the neck nearly to the base. Items may have wear and tear, imperfections, or the effects of aging.
