Young/Maker/Patent/Philadelphia," with replaced circular level housing, and a Knox & Shain transit with a 9 1/2-in. scope with bubble level below, A-frame supports, 6-in. dia. dial engraved "Knox & Shain/Makers/Philadelphia," mounted to a four-screw adjustable base.
