Set of Eight Mahogany Veneer Lyre-back Dining Chairs, probably New York, c. 1830-40, the shaped and rounded crest above scrolled tablets and pierced lyres, the crests continuing to slightly bowed seat rails and removable upholstered seats joining "Grecian" front legs and raking rear legs, refinished, (repairs and imperfections), ht. 32, seat ht. 17 in. Estimate $1,500-2,500 All chairs have some degree of repair including repaired crest rails, repaired splats, and reattached back legs.
